Preview: The Soft White Sixties @ Café du Nord

Local rock ‘n’ roll darlings the Soft White Sixties will perform a special acoustic headlining show at Café du Nord on Monday. Opening the show will be Zane Carney, Big Eagle, Gabriel Kelley and Amy Blaschke.

The Soft Whites Sixties are gaining a name for themselves as one of San Francisco’s young shining rock ‘n’ roll bands. The group will perform an acoustic set this Monday at the new monthly event Communion SF. In 2011 they released their self-titled debut EP while touring extensively including performances at big summer music festivals like High Sierra and Harmony.

Communion is an event that was born in the U.K by Mumford & Sons’ Ben Lovett, close friend Kevin Jones, and producer Ian Grimble. The party , which aims to expose the best and most creative in independent music, has now developed monthly nights in San Francisco and Brooklyn.

The show will also feature performances by locals Big Eagle, as well as Zane Carney (NYC), Gabriel Kelley (Nashville) and Amy Blaschke (L.A).
