The xx have officially begun working on their sophomore album following 2009’s breakthrough self-titled debut. In a post on their blog the group released a new demo “Open Eyes,” an early taste for fans eager to hear fresh material. So far there has been no announcement as to when the new album will come out.
In the post the band gave this message:
“Open eyes is a demo we did whilst creating our new album, we just wanted to share it with you. xx The xx”
The group also posted a link where fans can download “Open Eyes” free of charge.
