The organizers behind Noise Pop, San Francisco’s multi-day celebration of indie music at various venues throughout the city, just provided the first glimpse of bands set to perform at the festival, February 21-26.
So far, indie mainstays Built to Spill, Archers of Loaf, Cursive and Imperial Teen are set to return for encore appearances at the festival, while Surfer Blood represents the new school in buzz-worthy indie rock. South African electro/hip-hop sexbots Die Antwoord mark their first return to SF since a polarizing performance at the Treasure Island Music Festival in 2010 and Daptone Records staple Budos Band is back with heavy horns from Staten Island.
Also on the bill:
Craig Finn (of The Hold Steady)
