Alexander’s Steakhouse Offers Six-Course Foie Gras Dinner

Chefs all over town are getting in on foie gras before the impending 2012 ban, and your next chance to try the delicacy is this Saturday at Alexander’s Steakhouse. Alexander’s will be hosting a six-course foie gras dinner with wine pairing, benefiting the Artisan Farmers Alliance and Keep Food Legal.

The dinner will begin at 6:30pm on Saturday, November 26 at Alexander’s Steakhouse on Brannan Street. Here’s what you can look for on the menu:

First Course: Textures of Foie Gras:

Goie gras brioche, butter, power, quince confiture

Champagne Tattinger Brut Francaise NV

Second Course: Torchon of Foie Gras:

Uni, Muscat grapes, Japanese citrus

Cocktail pairing: La Paulée Pop

Third Course: Shavings of Foie Gras

Vanilla-neige gelee, persimmon, sesame
