Were you one of the lucky few to catch Soulwax at The Independent last night? If so, you’ll surely agree that they put on a no-nonsense performance showcasing almost two decades worth of intricate musical endeavors. On cue with every synth, strum, and vocal, they debuted many new tracks, along with an epic ending of “NY Excuse.”

Appropriately following this U.S. tour,they launch their new Vimeo channel, with today’s debut of an exclusive of the brand new hour, Batuta Discos.

“Batuta Discos concept came from our love for Brazil and all its musical forms over various decades here in this mix. It’s a place that has always inspired us musically but also where you can lose yourself record shopping. Which we did, on many different trips, and found the most incredible gems with the help of some of our brazilian friends. The name, Batuta Discos, is a way of saying “cool records” but it was the way they said it in the 70’s and 80’s, we’re not quite sure of the correct translation but it’s a bit of an in joke with the Brazilians.”
