Chat with the Chefs at Studio Gourmet

This Tuesday Circolo Cocktail Lounge (500 Florida Street) hosts the next installment in an exciting live culinary experience known as Studio Gourmet. Participants will get to enjoy exciting and educational cooking demonstrations from some of the city’s most prominent chefs.

This week features husband and wife team Jeff Banker and Lori Baker, owners of Baker & Banker (1701 Octavia Street)–a hip eatery in Pacific Heights, popular for sensational renditions of New American Cuisine. Tomorrow they’ll partner up at Studio Chef to prepare Chanterelle mushroom and farro risotto with roasted butternut squash. For dessert, Lori will be baking a seasonal favorite: Pumpkin Cobbler. If this sounds somewhat irresistible, you’d be happy to know that the event includes a tasting of small bites for the indulgence of all attendees.

Before you get to sampling the goods, though, there is an informative, in-depth discussion with the chefs as they go over their inspirations and even share some specialized techniques with host Brad Lev. Previous guests have included Martin Brock of Gary Danko fame and David Lawrence from 1300 Fillmore.

If you fancy yourself a ‘Foodie’ or are just always anxious to check out fun events happening in and around San Francisco, Studio Gourmet has got you covered. Tickets are still available for a reasonable fee of $25, which includes your entry and the tasting. You can purchase them by clicking here. The live cooking demonstration begins promptly at 5:30PM and will continue into a fun-filled evening that promises to be as entertaining as it is delicious.
