Electric Daisy Carnival Will Return to Vegas in 2012

After a successful move from Los Angeles to Las Vegas last year, EDC will return to Sin City in 2012.

Insomniac Events announced dates today for the 16th installment of the Electric Daisy Carnival which will be held June 8-10th 2012. The popular three day electronic event will return to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

According to Insomniac, tickets will go on sale Tuesday November 1st at 12:00 PM PST. Weekend passes will run concert goers $215 while V.I.P will go for $500. Single day tickets will be offered at a later point to be determined.

EDC moved to Vegas last year when promoters for the historic festival could not reach a resolution with officials in Los Angeles after numerous complaints from neighbors, hospitals, and parents due to deaths caused by overdoses and noise complaints. There were some campaigns to bring EDC back to Los Angeles after a year away, but both parties seemed to agree that the festival needed a permanent new home which Vegas has supplied.

The lineup has not been announced, but Insomniac released an extensive trailer for 2012 which you can view below.

  1. damn this sucks… Los Angeles is like the rave capital of america…. plus the image of vegas is more like a playground for older adults who gamble and go to strip clubs whatever. Los Angeles is more young and hipster, dancer feel… creativity, music, media and entertainment.. EDC fits L.A. more than Vegas in my opinion.
