Asian Fusion Comes to…Macy’s?

This November, a new concept in fast-casual dining will make its way into the downtown Macy’s. SC Asian (170 O’Farrell Street) will boast a menu featuring Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese specialities. In a city already known for its vast array of Far East fare, this hip addition in the heart of the city promises guests a ‘truly unique casual dining experience.’

Little is known about the fine details of this new Union Square eatery, as their website is currently under construction. But a recent press release has piqued the interests of the Yum Blog, teasing our taste buds with the prospects of Crazy Baos–their take on the traditional steamed Chinese bun; fresh Banh Mi Sandwiches and crispy Asian Flatbreads. You can also expect the interior to be quite massive, with a whopping 4,600 square feet of space. Orders will be placed at the counter and then served to tables throughout the restaurant. So get ready to spice things up at Macy’s this November, just in time for your holiday shopping!
