Hardly Strictly Bluegrass consistently has one of the best lineups of the Bay Area music festival season, and this year is no exception. The festival returns this year with sets by rockers Kurt Vile, Thurston Moore, Broken Social Scene and Bob Mould, alongside Americana, blues and R&B greats.

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is Friday to Sunday at Golden Gate Park. Admission is free.
I can’t recommend Elbow enough. they are playing on Sunday. They beat out Radiohead for the Mercury prize in 2008 beating ‘In Rainbows’, which was my favorite album that year.
