Local music blog Positive Destruction presents an alliterative lineup of Bay Area bands Thursday night at Thee Parkside, featuring Mexican Summer-signed new wavers Part Time.

On their Mexican Summer debut What Would You Say?, David Speck and Part Time bring the 80s throwback in full effect — breezy, synth-heavy single “I Wanna Take You Out” could’ve been the soundtrack to Judge Reinhold driving through LA wearing a pirate hat, or Jennifer Jason Leigh sneaking off to do it in the dugout with that skeezy older dude.

Garage rock duo Pamela (Ashley Thomas and Courtney Gray of Oakland teen rockers The Splinters), Surf Club (making their SF debut from Stockton, CA), and Permanent Collection (ex-Young Prism member Jason Hendardy) round out the rest of the night.
