Oakland Art Murmur

First Fridays in Oakland are an easy way to catch up on a lot of art in a little bit of time. Galleries are open to the public from 6-9pm along 22nd to 26th street while other shops and venues along the way join in on the fun.

There are lots of places you can stop by to catch some art like Creative Growth Art Center,  Oakopolis, Krowswork,  or Manna Gallery.  Vessel Gallery will be hosting an opening reception for Emergent  Behaviors with sculptures, paintings and jewelry by artists Pamela Merory Dernham, Walter James Mansfield and Hannah Keefe. Chandra Cerrito Contemporary will have its doors open to show the exhibit Lightspace, a show featuring paintings, installations and lights. There will also be arts, crafts and food vendors along the way to the galleries.

Check out the Oakland Art Murmur site for details.
