Super Secret Indian Pop-Up

The much lauded Washington D.C.-based Indian food pop-up, Hush Supper Club, which serves Gujarati vegetarian Jain-influenced cuisine (Gujus in the house!), is making an appearance in the Bay Area for four dates.

According to Hush’s web site, “Hush Berkeley is now taking reservations for July 29 and 30. Hush San Francisco will be on Friday, August 5 and we complete our Bay Area suppers with Hush Oakland on Saturday, August 6.”

The SF date will be in the Potrero Hill neighborhood but, as this is an underground supperclub, the exact location will not be revealed until the morning of the dinner.

SF Foodie writes that, “The meals, for 12 to 16 guests, take about four hours,” and that “…the meal starts with a cocktail. “The Saffron Sunset is my creation,” Geeta says by e-mail. “It’s a simple syrup with cardamon and saffron, black tea, and rum served over ice and splashed with club soda.” After that, it’s BYO beer or wine.”

A donation of $75 is asked for the meal.

Here’s hoping there are still some spots left!
