This weekend the Museum of Craft and Design will kick off its Summer/Fall MakeArt Workshop and Speaker Series.
The pop-up exhibit at Proxy entitled Place Making: Installations at Hayes and Octavia will be open to the public until later this year in October. In addition to featuring cool, site-specific installations created by three artists specifically for that space will be on display. Each individually conceptualized installation was developed to coincide with one of three themes: transparency, light and layering.
The series will also have a number of artist conversations as well as interactive workshops for children over the next few months including mandala making, seed mosaics and wire-basket weaving.
