Events: Treasure Island Flea This Weekend

Nothing brings people together like a good old-fashioned flea market. But Treasure Island Flea is far from your ordinary street fair. Held the last weekend of every month on Avenue of the Palms, backdropped by the stunning San Francisco skyline, Treasure Island Flea is a unique experience hosting hundreds of Bay Area exhibitors. It’s a spectacular opportunity to find unbeatable deals on one-of-kind handmade items, vintage clothing, repurposed gear, fine art and chic design.

Of course there’ll also be some delicious local food and wine to enjoy. Libations are provided by Treasure Island’s own The Winery SF which always features tastings and barrel samplings in their cavernous, onsite warehouse.

Selections of food rotate slightly from month to month but the most recent event included special sweets from Harvey’s Gourmet Donuts–an incomparable treat for anyone with an insatiable sweet tooth.

The event is family and dog-friendly. So round up the kids and pooch and head on over this weekend, beginning at 9AM on Saturday. Parking is free and easy and general admission tickets are 3$ unless, of course, you mention that you saw this ad–which will guarantee you complimentary admittance. So what have you got to lose, really? Even if you don’t intend on buying anything, the experience is well-worth the trip to the scenic, geographic center of The Bay.
