Wild Boar Anyone?

Chef Thomas McNaughton of (flour + water) is known for his love of sustainable agriculture, local farms and whole animal butchery, and he’ll be bringing all these elements together for the Wild Boar dinner series starting this Friday July 1.

The dinner includes a five-course tasting menu, with each dish featuring wild boar, along with a wine pairing. The menu is meant to “celebrate whole animal utilization and a connection to the most fundamental of old world practices” and will also be featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients such as summer squash, cucumbers, strawberries and other fruits such as figs and melon.

You can check out a sample menu, here.

The series takes places this Friday as well as Fridays August 5th and September 2nd. Seatings re at 6pm and 9:15pm (there are only 12 seats available for each) and the dinner will set you back $200 (including wine, tax and gratuity).

  1. Don’t give it a second thought on a wild boar hog dinner. The experience is wonderful, if you have never tasted wild boar, don’t hesitate! I really wish I could attend this five course tasting session. I will have to slow roast my hog meat at home and enjoy pulled pork.
