Just in time for the sunshine, Dinner at Thompson’s arrives in San Francisco this weekend with a nice mix of layered funk break and vocal melodies perfect for summertime. We’re giving away a pair of tickets for their show this weekend in SF.

The duo features Lucille Tee on the mike while French producer FabLive works the beats. With scratchy analog samples that subtly reference Mark Ronson and DJ Shadow, their debut album Off The Grid (Earth at Work Records) sounds like something that would fit perfectly on the Bay’s own Quannum Projects roster, which has gone quiet as of late.
