Major Lead on Stow Beating Suspects

It took a couple months but police have finally nabbed one of the lead suspects sought for the March 31st beating of Giants fan Bryan Stow outside Dodger Stadium. Giovanni Ramirez, 31, was arrested early this morning by a S.W.A.T. team; authorities were tipped off by his – get this – parole officer.

Apparently, the parole officer raised the flag after noticing that Ramirez had gotten a fresh neck tattoo that seemed to be purposefully covering up an old tat. Several witnesses to the beating had described the lead suspect by his neck tattoo. The officer put two and two together.

The second douchebag wanted for the brutal crime is still at large. According to the SF Chronicle, “…more than 20 detectives have worked a total of 6,000 hours on the case, running down more than 630 leads.”

In well-publicized billboards and ads, the reward for turning in information regarding the suspects was $250,000. It is not clear whether the parole officer will be getting a part, if any, of the reward.
