Food Trucks to Hit Larkspur Ferry Terminal

The Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District has approved a pilot program to host several mobile food trucks at the Larkspur Ferry Terminal starting next month.

The district will be working with Marin County-based Event Bank to provide five trucks at the terminal from May through September on Friday afternoons and evenings.

While the program will only provide nominal revenue for the district, officials said that it will provide more food choices and promote the ferry service to people who may not use it.

The trucks will be selling food to both passengers and the general public.

If the program is successful, officials said it could be expanded in the future.

The food trucks are Larkspur Landing tonight were AMAAAAZING!!! Thanks for the creative idea!!!

  2. Those of us who ride the ferry at the end of a hectic work day desire only to exit and get to our vehicles for home. The food trucks will only create a bottle neck as they will be located where the handicapped parking presently sits. It is already a headache to exit on a regular basis…food trucks and the general public will only create more congestion. I think they need to re-work the program on this one. Put the food trucks over in the Larkspur Landing center along with the Farmers’ Market. Thanks.

    1. Thanks for reading the post Erin and for including your feedback. I think it is just a trial run and the Bridge District is just looking at how the idea will works. I would definitely suggest contacting them (http://goldengate.org/) with your concerns, which are very valid. I’m sure they are looking for suggestions and ways to improve the project.
