A national bakesale is being held on Saturday to benefit victims from the Japan earthquake and tsunami.

The event features both professional and amateur bakers and involves many bakeries and restaurants throughout the Bay Area.

Along with selling baked goods, many of the businesses will also have artists, artisans and musicians on hand for the festivities.

The proceeds will be going to Peace Winds Japan, an organization which is focusing its relief efforts on the disaster in the country.

The event will be taking place from 10 am-2pm.
