Proposed Circumcision Ban in SF?

SFist brings us news this morning that SF-resident Lloyd Schofield is trying to get a city-wide ban on male circumcision. He’s already “on track” to collecting the 7,168 signatures needed for a proposal to get on the ballot.

According to SFist, “Schofield has a committee of ten people organizing the canvassing efforts outside of local grocery stores, some of them paying the signature-hawkers out of their own pockets.”

Look for many heated discussions on parenting blogs and, perhaps, awkward political ads come November.
