Hot Track: Kisses “Midnight Lover”

For better or worse, it’s Valentine’s Day.  Whether you’re attached or solo, we’re here to give you Kisses, an LA disco/dance duo comprised of bf/gf Jesse Kivel (also of Princeton) and Zinzi Edmundson.

“Midnight Lover” is a catchy tune with a keyboard riff that pays homage to The Cars’ “Moving In Stereo,” which leads in to Kivel’s surprisingly smooth (and not creepy) chorus about a nice steak dinner.

Not to be overlooked, the remaining eight tracks on The Heart of the Nightlife sound like Hot Chip and New Order taking their synths on a tropical vacation and learning to play calypso steel drums by the pool.
