After years of wrangling with NIMBYs, the Stanyan Street Whole Foods is finally set to open on Wednesday, February 16th. Now all the gutterpunks and homeless kids hanging over at McDonald’s will have another place to go use the bathroom and shoot-up in privacy. Or maybe they’ll be inclined to buy a $5 fair trade organic avocado.

SF Foodie brings us news that there will also be a special “Street Eats” section in the store featuring products from local street cart vendors including “curry paste and hot sauce from Magic Curry Kart… vegan currywurst from King of Currywurst, chai concentrate from the Chai Cart, empanadas from El Porteño, and organic Filipino food from Hapa SF.”
