Get ready for Men, the Brooklyn-based group that is bringing the hottest dance party tonight in SF to the Clift Hotel.

If you’re not moving yet, there’s something wrong.

The group was formed in 2007 by Le Tigre members JD Samson and Johanna Fateman, who were later joined by Michael O’Neil and Ginger Brooks Takahashi, musicians who worked with JD on his project Hirsute.

Their debut record Talk About Body is out today, and purchasing it is the only way to get access to their gig tonight at the Clift Hotel. Might is well hoof it up to Amoeba on Haight Street and pick it up while JD works the decks during an in-store DJ set at 5pm. Here’s what the band had to say today about the release on it’s blog:

“For the past 3 years, we have combed through hi hats, laid down the deepest bass-lines, massaged the necks of our guitars. and spent months listening. To all the sounds we made and all of the people who came to hear. We have built songs with our hearts. With our sincerity, with our politics. And with our bodies.”
