This weekend Chinese New Year festivities kick-off. It is the Year of the Rabbit (people born in the Year of the Rabbit are supposed to be articulate, talented, and ambitious. They are virtuous, reserved, and have excellent taste.) If it’s a year for excellent taste then you can’t go wrong with E&O Trading Co. off of Union Square, the Asian-inspired restaurant is launching a new tasting menu in honor of the Year of the Rabbit.
The menu, created by Executive Chef Arnold Eric Wong, will be available February 3 – February 19. To kick off the Asian New Year, the restaurant will host henna artists who will be available to adorn guests with henna tattoos on the night of February 3 (um, isn’t henna an Indian tradition?). For the grand finale, a traditional lion dancer will perform on Saturday February 19. The special Asian New Year Menu will feature four delicious courses priced as an a la carte menu.
