Watch the Golden Globes in SF

The first big awards show of the season, the 68th annual Golden Globes will be airing this Sunday, January 16th. Yes, you can watch it on television at home, but where’s the fun in that? Don’t you want to watch Jesse Eisenberg and Mark Wahlberg battle it out for “Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama” or Natalie Portman make a blubbery acceptance speech on the big screen in a proper movie theater?

Well, here’s your chance. The Richmond SF blog reports that the Balboa movie theater will be showing the Golden Globes live in HD with Dolby stereo sound.

“In addition to the fun of the awards show, the Balboa will also run fun trivia contests during commercials, along with some other surprises. Check out this year’s Golden Globe nominees and follow along with your own printable ballot.

Doors open at 4:45 and the show starts at 5pm sharp. Tickets are just $5.00 which you can purchase online or at the Balboa on Sunday night.”
