Michael Bauer, Chronicle restaurant critic, dishes on his fav places to go to for Saturday lunch (which I guess is different than brunch?). On the list are Absinthe, Dosa, and Zuni.

It’s a pretty good list (if not a little stodgy) and I like how Bauer writes about the location for each place and what it is near:

“Saturday is indeed one of the most challenging days to dine. Many restaurants, such as Prospect, serve brunch on Sunday, but are dark on Saturday. Other places also offer a limited menu. That said, there are more options than you think. Here are a few of my favorites. I’ve chosen them to represent different parts of the city where you might want to go.”
