There are a whole slew of options for NYE, including parties, comedy shows, concerts, and fireworks. And then there is the food. While some of you may want to lay low and rest up for a rambunctious night ahead, there others who rather celebrate the new year over a nice 4-course meal and several glasses of champagne.

That is, champagne that isn’t spilled all over your feet in a crowded drunkfest at some club in the SoMa or North Beach. Luckily Zagat has put together the best restaurants in SF to party it up for NYE. There’s a 5-courser at Bar Agricole or tapas at Contigo or “a booze-soaked multicourse Japanese izakaya menu” at Nombe. Happy New Year indeed.
