This morning President Barack Obama ended Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, the 17-year old policy banning gays in the military. There were cheers and shouts of “Yes, We Can!” from the crowd as the President announced his signing of the Don’t Ask Don’t Tell Repeal Act of 2010. Since it was enacted in 1993, more than 14,000 military members have been discharged because of DADT.
