The 17th annual NCAF celebrates the enduring cultures of California indigenous peoples, and that of the intertribal traditions of natives who were relocated to the Bay Area from outside California. The 2014 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival 2013 Season at Yerba Buena Gardens in downtown San Francisco runs May 4 through October 26, 2014 and presents over 90 free events including music, theater, circus, dance, poetry, festivals and children’s programs with artists from Africa, Japan, Mexico, Cuba, Brazil, the Philippines, Sweden, China, Venezuela and the Bay Area. This year’s Festival features events at Jessie Square with poetry, dance workshops and salsa dancing. Yerba Buena Gardens is located between Mission Street and Howard Street and 3rd and 4th Streets in downtown San Francisco.
