8 - 12 am: After Party with DJ DancingThe discussion, “15 Minutes With Andy Warhol,” will take a critical look at Warhol’s artistic genius, and its lasting effects on the art world. Panelists include: Timothy Anglin Burgard, the Ednah Root Curator-in-Charge of American Art for the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco; contemporary pop artist Ron English; Laura Janku, former editor of Artweek; and Richard Meyer, art historian and curator of “Warhol’s Jews: Ten Portraits Reconsidered,” currently on exhibit at
the Contemporary Jewish Museum.
* Warhol was commissioned to create works for Martini & Rossi’s marketing campaigns in the late 1950s.
