Whobilation is an outlandish Holiday hybrid Holiday party combining a Holiday Funhouse, Santa’s Workshop, and a Barbary Coast Chinatown theatre with a prohibition-era Speakeasy that pays tribute to all of your favorite Holiday television specials, from “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” “Santa Clause Conquerors the Martians,” “Pee Wee’s Playhouse Christmas Special,” “The Star Wars Holiday Special,” and “A Nightmare Before Xmas.”
The 2014 Whobilation storyline features Ebeneezer Grouch, a gentrifying tightwad techie tycoon who’s persuaded to give back to the less fortunate tenants of the San Francisco community he had originally hoped to evict in a massive property grab during the Holiday season after visitations from the ghosts of XMas Television Specials Past.
After the 75-minute comedic and costumed stage production, the Great Star Theatre will transform into the most raucous Holiday Dance Party, complete with roaming performers, contests, and games that will continue on until the wee hours.
